Hi Lisa and all the staff of the Operation USO.

I just wanted to send a thank you for making me feel so special and at home.
I was returning back to the field of Iraq from being home on R&R; and I was
feeling kind of dry. It is never easy leaving your family.

I want to thank you all for really caring and coming from your heart to make
what we need available to us.

I want to thank you for the care package you all have given out. There were
lots of things in it that I really needed. The snacks of course are always
on the top of the list.

Well all I wanted to say again is that you made me feel real special. Will
you never think that you dont make a difference. Every smile, every hand
shake, every shoulder touch, none of it is going unnoticed. Alot of times we
just dont take the time to thank you like you should be thanked but I am
sending this note to let you know that you touched me.

Thank you for all you do and have done.

Hello and thank you for the bag of goodies I received from the USO as I was boarding the plane to go overseas. I will take all the prayers and support I can get as will my brothers and sisters in uniform. My wife to can use them as well as her job and life at home being a housewife is also very important during this time of war.

Please don’t stop what you are doing as it is for a good cause

Thank You,

To Whom It May Concern,

Your organization passed out care packages to troops departing from BWI in late March. The message of support that was associated with that action helped to strengthen my commitment.

I am an Air Force nurse currently serving Baghdad Iraq on a 90 day rotation. Soon I will be returning home. During my time here I have often reflected on the significance of your actions. Please continue the good work. It means so much.

With thanks and appreciation for your support of the American Troops

Fond Regards,

To whom it may concern,

Hello! My name is PFC Tara D. Smith, and I am currently deployed in Balad, Iraq. My company recently received a large amount of packages from the USO that were bursting with goodies of all types for us. I felt it appropriate to respond on a day of celebration, Independence Day, because that is exactly what we did when the boxes arrived. I helped my Commander to sort and distribute the items we received, and it was overwhelming how much effort went into these care packages. We could visibly see that, and it was felt by all that the USO went above and beyond to make our lives a little easier out here. The items were useful, appropriate, and very much appreciated. Everyone has been running around snapping pictures of each other and the things we do on a daily basis out here. I know how excited everyone was to have a little unexpected gift bag arrive out of the blue, and it truly lifted everyone’s morale. On behalf of all the Bandits in the 299th Forward Support Battalion…

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND KINDNESS!!!! I am using the film up as we speak, and I will gladly mail the camera back to the sender ASAP. We thank you for your hard work and effort, and trust me when I say it did not go unnoticed. Take care and keep up the amazing work!

Sincerely,

Ma'am,
I am excited to say that I received a care package today from the USO. They items inside were right on target, especially for the soldiers who will be in transit, either deploying or redeploying. I have a use for all the items. It is a wonderful gift.

Thank you,
